Lewis A. Yocum, M.D. is a board certified orthopaedic surgeon, specializing in sports
medicine, shoulder, elbow, and knees. Dr. Yocum earned his medical doctorate at
the University of Illinois, after which he completed both his internship and residency
at Northwestern University in Chicago. He was a Sports Medicine Fellow at the Kerlan-Jobe
Orthopaedic Clinic. He is the team physician to the Los Angeles Angels and orthopaedic
consultant to numerous dance companies.
Dr. Yocum is a significant contributor in the medical professional community and
is a fellow of the American College of Surgeons and the American Academy of Orthopedic
Surgeons. He was formerly a panel reviewer for the American Journal of Sports Medicine
and a Board Trustee at Centinela Hospital Medical Center. Dr. Yocum has authored
numerous publications and books.
